Intelligence
- Copilot Prompt Library improvements: Egnyte’s Copilot Prompt Library is now more intuitive, with new categories, role-based permissions, direct prompt creation, knowledge base linking, and smarter prioritization of trending prompts. Learn more.
- Edit prompt in agents, Copilot, and knowledge bases: Users can now edit recent prompts in Agents, Copilot, and knowledge bases to fix typos, refine context, and receive more relevant responses. Learn more.
- Consent control in feedback for responses in agents, Copilot, and knowledge bases: When users give negative feedback, a pop-up appears explaining Egnyte may review logs to resolve issues, with clear consent or opt-out choice. Learn more.
- Increased supported file limits for Ask: Ask now supports larger files, with the size limit raised from 20MB to 64MB for documents, spreadsheets, presentations, text, PDFs, and images. Learn more.
Collaboration
Web UI:
- Option to decline e-signature requests: Egnyte now lets users decline e-signature requests, ensuring thorough document review, maintaining process efficiency, and supporting collaboration before final approval. Learn more.
- Self-service for custom access URLs: Egnyte’s self-service Custom Access URLs feature in WebUI lets admins manage domains, SSL certificates, and URLs end-to-end, for faster updates, reduced downtime, and control. Learn more.
- SSL certifications expiry notifications: Egnyte now provides email and in-app notifications for expiring or expired CAU certificates, giving admins time to renew and maintain seamless security. Learn more.
- Desktop mass configurations: The Desktop Configuration Settings UI now includes the label "Allow users to manage drives," improving clarity and helping admins control drive management efficiently. Learn more.
- Permissions change for project folder creation and updates: Previously restricted to owners, creating or updating projects in Egnyte is now simplified, allowing users with full permissions to manage projects. Learn more.
- Team Management improvements (easier access control, permissions handling, and collaboration): Team Management enhances transparency and productivity, letting users view, modify, or remove permissions and add users or groups in project folders and document rooms. Learn more.
Desktop App Core for Windows:
- Desktop Configurations (general availability): The Desktop Configurations feature is now generally available. The feature renames "Allow users to add drives," removes manual drives when disabled, and applies configurations immediately without restart. Learn more.
- Search in this folder: The “Search in this folder” option in the Egnyte Actions menu is now fully compatible with the new Desktop App for faster, more efficient folder searches. Learn more.
- Clearer messaging for Desktop App upgrade setting: The Desktop App upgrade setting in the Web UI now clearly reads “Automatically upgrade to the new Desktop App version,” ensuring users stay up-to-date effortlessly. Learn more.
Desktop App Core for Mac:
- Egnyte Copilot in Desktop App: A new Copilot tab in the Egnyte Desktop App lets users interact with Copilot, ask questions, and create agents or knowledge bases. Learn more.
- Egnyte Actions improvements: The menu now appears centered, displays the Egnyte Actions name and logo, and shows the triggering file or folder, improving navigation and user clarity. Learn more.
- Copilot option in Egnyte Actions menu: The Egnyte Actions menu now includes Copilot, letting users query multiple files or folders for context-specific insights, summaries, and answers directly. Learn more.
- Egnyte Actions for folders standardization: The streamlined Egnyte Actions folder menu removes duplicates and retains only commonly used sharing options—it’s now aligned with the file context menu. Learn more.
- Duplicate option in the Egnyte Actions menu: A new Duplicate option in the context menu allows users to quickly create copies of any file or folder. Learn more.
Industry:
- Autodesk Construction Cloud integration: Egnyte introduces native Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) integration, enabling one-way sync of files, folders, and project metadata to centralize information, reduce updates, and keep stakeholders aligned. Learn more.
Egnyte App for Android:
- Enhanced Ask with Q&A: The Android app’s Ask feature now goes beyond summarization, letting users ask questions, interact with documents, and use preconfigured prompts or AI-generated suggestions. Learn more.
Governance:
- Link views for public link issues: Public Link issue views are now accessible in Secure & Govern, with viewer details shown via Show Details and view count, improving oversight. Learn more.
- Improved information for issue and sensitive content views: Issue and Sensitive Content pages now display both total item counts and counts for the currently filtered view, improving visibility and tracking efficiency. Learn more.
- Support for Microsoft Azure as a destination for external replication (limited availability): Egnyte’s External Replication now supports Microsoft Azure, Amazon S3, and Wasabi, enabling data replication to third-party clouds for insurance and compliance requirements. Learn more.
- Power User role entitlements (owner to at least Full Permissions): Power Users can now view issues and sensitive content in folders with Full Permissions, expanding access beyond folders previously limited to Owner Permissions. Learn more.
- Power User-directed emails (owner to at least full permissions): Power Users can now receive Secure & Govern email alerts for issues and sensitive content in folders where they have Full Permissions. Learn more.
- Power User role entitlements for new Egnyte customers: For new Egnyte customers, the Secure & Govern access toggle in Settings -> User Management is now default ON for all Power Users. Learn more.
- Admin-managed folder options: Egnyte introduces a domain-level setting for folder options, letting admins restrict management to “Admins only” or “Include Folder Owners”, strengthening control and compliance. Learn more.
Integration:
- Egnyte for M365 (new consolidated integration for MS Teams, MS Copilot, and Outlook): Egnyte now integrates with Microsoft 365, letting users access, share, and manage files directly in Teams, Copilot, and Outlook, streamlining collaboration and keeping content secure within existing workflows. - Explore plans and start trial of higher-tier plans: Egnyte’s Explore Plans page lets customers compare plans, start domain trials, test premium features, and upgrade seamlessly without waiting for additional approvals. Learn more.
- Customize true-up schedules for ongoing external replication and cloud migration jobs: Egnyte now lets users customize true-up schedules for replication and migration jobs, editing frequency, date, and time for greater flexibility. Learn more.
- Extended attributes for Active Directory users: We have added a new `.ini` file attribute, `extended_attributes`, enabling ADKit to sync additional AD user details, including displayName, accountExpires, locale, contact info, location, employeeID, division, and manager. Learn more.
